About Us
Charlton Manor Rest Home, established in 1962, is a 32-bed retirement home in Central Massachusetts situated on 30 acres of woods, pleasant gardens, wildlife, and it resembles more like a early 20th century Bed & Breakfast place than a retirement home. The Charlton Manor is a leader in providing affordable and safe housing for over 50 years.
The Owner, Michael Turpin, purchased the Charlton Manor 14 years ago, and he has magnificiently transformed this place into a cozy and warm environment with an historical and nurturing ambiance. He enthusiastically devotes all his time and energy into improving the living conditions; i.e. the house, food, health care, recreation, etc. Michael has fulfilled a lifetime dream of owning and managing the Charlton Manor since childhood. As a way to fill the growing demand of living at the Charlton Manor, Michael is planning to build 40-60 units of assisted living and day care on the acreage surrounding the existing building.
